Freight Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Freight Coordinator with a strong background in logistics and transportation management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with FTL (Full Truckload) operations and a proven ability to effectively manage high volumes of shipments while ensuring seamless coordination and delivery. Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize hands-on FTL/truckload expertise to effectively manage and oversee freight operations.
  • Negotiate and book FTL shipments with carriers and load boards to secure cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage the coordination of 100+ loads per week, including scheduling pickups, deliveries, and tracking shipments to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across purchase orders, pricing structures, and logistics coordination.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills while working with freight data, pricing, and operational metrics using Excel and TMS platforms.
  • Collaborate with 3PL providers and utilize ASN systems to streamline freight operations.
  • Apply expertise in negotiating rates to drive operational cost efficiencies while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Excel with a comfort level working with data and pricing analysis.
  • Familiarity with TMS systems, ASN processes, and 3PL operations.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to build and manage carrier relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic logistics environment.

Schedule:

  • Full-time hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly pay of $31-$36/hour based on experience and qualifications.
